Best Burrito Hands Down. Flat out best burrito in the Philly Area. I have tried many tacquerias throughout the entire country and in my humble opinion Red Sombrero is up there w/ the best of them. Try it and you will love it.

Good local mexican.... My girlfriend introduced me to the Red Sombrero. We also go to Senora's in West Chester and a few other places in the area for Mexican. Senora's is a great college-town eaterie, whereas this restaurant is an excellent upgrade over Baja Fresh. The food is good and generous, but it's setup in the "fast-casual" format so don't expect a waiter.

Girlfriends Night Out ....Fun!. My girlfriends and I love going to the Red Sombrero after work, especially if our day has been long and crazy. We just bring the Tequila and they provide the Fresh squeezed Margarita Mix. Also, the owner makes sure that everyone feels comfortable; he makes a point to say Hello to everyone. The 2nd time we decide to have a girls night out he was there and said Hello ..He even remembered our names!!! In todays world one doesnt find such good service, Thanks!

New owners sometimes mean trouble with new menus and drastic changes....but the good news is that I'm happy to say the Red Sombrero still has the same great food as before! *whew*

The good (there's a lot of them ;)

- The new decor is subtle, but nice.
- It's the same menu with 7 new burritos added and fish tacos also added.
- The free salsa bar still exists (the red wine salsa is amazing and life changing)...judge for yourself.
- I noticed 1-2 of the same cooks still there from the previous owner (always a good sign).
- And it's still BYOB with great margarita mix (BYOT!) for about $5 for enough for 3-4 ritas and they provide the glasses btw. Note: if you forget the tequila, there is a wine and spirits store a few stores down.

I got a new chirizo burrito and it it is definitely different with more toppings and actually less greasy then before. The wife's chicken fajitas tasted great as always too. My burrito was packed with fresh ingredients and it was a bargain at $8.50 for the burrito, a drink and chips (with aforementioned amazing free salsa).

I spoke with the new owner,Tom who has owned the restaurant since the end of 2012. He was nice and accomodating when he sensed I was worried about the new changes - but i was won over with the first bite. We will be back, for sure. One small con is they don't have a website yet that i can find...but I'm sure the new owner will resolve this soon.

Overall, you wont be dissappointed with the new ownership! :o
